Used from about 1930 on. See Phys. Rev. 27:235 (1931). In good working condition as of 1/70. Victor Neher described it as a “high pressure ionization chamber” with 30 atmospheric pressure. It was, he said, used more than other instruments by RAM and was sunk in Muir Lake. This instrument is the most valuable of its type. Mfg. CIT Physics Shop.
